Liz teaches Ethics and Cultures in the Lower School, organizes Ethics-In-Action events, and leads Shabbatot in grades 4-5 and in Middle School. Liz has over 20 years of experience in independent schools as a Director of Service Learning, Director of Teacher Mentors, and Middle School Social Studies teacher. Currently she also serves as Board President for Congregation Kol Ami. Liz is a master teacher and was named an Enlightened 50 by the Utah Community Foundation in 2012.

Having always heard about the incredible community that is The McGillis School, Liz believes she has found a perfect home as our Ethics and Cultures teacher.  She loves The School in all its dimensions and being here is the fulfillment of one of her life-long dreams.  Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Liz loves to cook vegetarian food, travel with her daughter, and do community service.  Her infectious laughter is heard frequently throughout our halls.
