Climate Change Assembly brings it home

Special guest, Brody Leven, with Protect our Winters, a non-profit organization fighting climate change and the harmful effects on our mountains and communities that love snow, visited our 4th – 8th grades to talk about climate change today. Brody showed a film featuring prominent athletes and talked with us about the effects of climate change on our community and the winter activities many of us enjoy. During the assembly, we learned about some specific things students can do to help reduce the effects of greenhouse gases.  We learn and talk about this issue frequently in classes - it was thought provoking to have the issue brought so close to home.
