Experiences will begin mid-January until late May of 2020.

Teacher Experiences are a much-beloved tradition at The McGillis School. For the last 15 years, our Teachers have crafted unique experiences for students that have been used to raise much-needed funds for the School. In past years, Teacher Experiences have been sold as a component of the Gala. This year, Teacher Experiences will be sold in early December so our teachers have more time to host their experiences and parents will have the opportunity to gift Teacher Experiences to their students during the holidays.

This year, we are offering over 30 Teacher Experiences for families to bid on. Much like our online Silent Auction, each Teacher Experience slot will be open to bidding between December 8th and 15th. Each member of the community will receive an email with a link to online bidding the week of December 1st so you can register for online bidding and preview the Teacher Experiences. The Teacher Experience boards will be on display in the library hallway Monday, November 18th until bidding ends, December 15th. Winning spots will be emailed a PDF certificate for you to print and gift to your student, December 16th-18th.

Once bidding goes live, each Teacher Experience slot will have a starting bid and pre-set bid increments. The online system will notify you if you've been outbid by another user and also allows you to set up auto-bidding for each experience slot. You can also set a maximum bid amount and the system will automatically bid for you until your maximum amount is reached. Each item number represents a single spot for that experience. Bidding will take place for one week, and winners will be notified by the online bidding system at the end of the bidding period.
